Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 26, 2026
CoolMyMind ("we," "us," "our") is operated by Sourabh Moitra, an individual based in India. This policy explains what information we collect when you use CoolMyMind, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us. Specifically:
- Comments. If you leave a comment on an article, we collect your name, an optional email address, and the comment text. Your name and comment are shown publicly once approved; your email address is never published.
- Newsletter and resource downloads. If you subscribe to our newsletter or unlock a gated worksheet download, we collect your email address, so we can send you occasional updates and practical tools.
- Contact form. If you message us through the Contact page, we collect your name, email address, and message, so we can reply to you.
We do not require an account or login to read, browse, or use the interactive tools on this site.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand overall traffic and which content is useful — things like which pages are visited, how long people stay, and what device or general region they're browsing from. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects your IP address to do this; Google acts as an independent processor of that data under its own privacy policy. We only see this information in aggregate — we can't identify you personally from it.
Analytics only runs if you accept it in the cookie banner shown on your first visit — nothing loads before that. You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of any page. Some features — like article view counts and the interactive habit tracker — separately use your browser's own local storage to remember things like which days you've checked off, or to avoid counting a repeat visit as a new one within the same session. That information stays in your browser; it is not personally identifying and is not sent to us.
How we use your information
- To display approved comments and respond to replies.
- To send newsletter updates and, where relevant, the specific resource you unlocked.
- To respond to messages sent through the Contact page.
- To maintain and improve the site.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Where your information is stored
We use Supabase to store comments, email addresses, and contact messages, and Vercel to host the website itself. Both are reputable infrastructure providers with their own security practices and privacy policies.
If you click an Amazon affiliate link or purchase our e-book via Gumroad, you'll leave this site and be subject to Amazon's or Gumroad's own privacy policy for anything you do on their platform — we don't see or control what happens there.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete any personal information we hold about you (comments, newsletter subscription, or contact messages) at any time by emailing sourabhmoitranitc@gmail.com.
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and most email apps also show their own one-click unsubscribe button for our messages. Either stops all future newsletters immediately. You can also unsubscribe directly from our unsubscribe page, or email us and we'll remove you manually.
Children's privacy
CoolMyMind is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
